If I was to describe myself, I would describe myself as flexible, shy, observant, creative, introspective, and open-minded. I tend to overthink a lot and I am anxious at times even though I may not show it.

I’m a freshman from Vietnam majoring in Data Science. I’m interested in how data can be used in bioinformatics and health analytics to improve lives. I’d describe myself as ambitious, responsible, and always curious to learn new things. I joined this mentorship to meet people with similar interests, learn from their experiences, and get support on how to shape my own path in data science.

I'm first-year grad student in Machine Learning at Drexel University, passionate about applying artificial intelligence to quantitative research and financial modeling. With a background in software engineering, I bring strong skills in Python, deep learning, and data-driven optimization. My academic interests include time-series forecasting, large language models, and algorithmic trading systems. I am a talkative person who is honest about what is discussed even though I struggle with words. I am useful for those that just need something like a wall to talk to as well as someone to be loyal. What you see is what you get, and little should be expected other than jokes and the sort.

I would say that I am a funny guy. I like talking to people and social interaction but it does get draining sometimes. I like going out and enjoying myself but I equally as like staying home. If I am staying home I either just play video games (val) or I just watch TV shows or anime. I am into fashion (I try to be) and am always interested in improving my closet and clothing rotations. I'm from San Diego, California and am part of the class of 2029. When I'm not in classes, studying, or doing homework, I enjoy baking, volleyball, working out, and (being away from home) calling my friends & family. I am a chronic video game player; however, that has died down since the start of college. I like STEM classes and usually do well in them. My social skills are not the best and I am an introvert that avoids socializing with strangers. That said, I would like to improve my social skills by joining organizations like SASE, so that I will be ready for future interactions.

I'm from Turkey but I've been in America for 10 years now. I like trying out new things and gaining new hobbies. Right now I'm into reading, paint by numbers, and rock climbing. I tend to be a balance, being more quiet when needed or more outgoing in other times. I enjoy coffee. A lot. I am a creative person, I love making anything that comes to mind whether that be a game idea, 3d model or something else. I also do love challenging puzzles so I like solving rubix cubes, challenging math/physics problems. I did robotics in highschool and creating designs for the robots was fun. Basketball is also my favorite sport even though I'm terrible at it. I am trying to dunk but thats kind of hard when you are 5'8. I also like playing video games and my favorite games are probably Elden Ring, Sekiro, and Minecraft.

My name is Benson Xue, my last name is pronounced "sh-u-eh", or you can just say "shoe". You can call me Ben or Benny if you want, but usually its just Benson. I love dogs and my dog is a toy poodle. I also love playing badminton, I wouldn't say I'm really good but I wouldn't say I'm bad at it either. My major is computer science and I sometimes make games on Roblox in my free time. I don't play the game though, mainly trying to make money of the 9 year olds.
